Raise much needed funding for cancer prevention in our youth
The McGrath Foundation’s Breast Care Nurses are our financial beneficiary. After having 6 family members diagnosed with cancer in one year, I am passionate about ensuring my children, and yours, know how to live a long, healthy, cancer free life.
The McGrath Foundation’s Breast Care Nurses visit our schools and teach our kids how to look for abnormalities while going through puberty, perform self breast checks, as well as educating them in how and why they should be more health conscious.
Break the world record of the 'World's Longest Bra Chain'
This is a shameless PR stunt to ensure we achieve our other 4 Strategic Objectives through our PR and Media coverage received in the lead up to the big event, on the day and for many moons to follow.
We are creating a Circular Economy framework by repurposing the bras to those less fortunate
This initiative has become a project of its own. The repurposing of wearable bras to those less fortunate and the recycling of the rest, including the metal underwire, inserts etc has stimulated much bigger conversations than I could have ever expected.
In 9 years how many of my collected bras do you think have broken down? NONE!
Bras and all fabric waste is a MASSIVE landfill issue and something I can no longer ignore.
So while we provide bras to those whom have endured a natural disaster or are living a life that doesn’t allow them the luxury of a supportive bra, we will also continue to investigate ways to reduce the impact of the unwearable bras and other fabric items.

Having been a small business owner, business coach and now a Corporate Social Responsibility consultant I am hugely committed to supporting and promoting Australian Small Businesses, in particular the ones we partner with for the benefit of this project, and the amazing ‘good humans’ starting charities and community groups, to support those less fortunate and work tirelessly within our communities for the benefit of others.
Collaboration is the key! The impact of a collective is huge! And the world record is just the first project, of many to come, that will provide our small business partners with unique and fulfilling ways to grow their business.
This unique and fun event will generate new leads for small businesses through the power of aligning with a socially responsible initiative that resonates with your target audience. And we are going to share your involvement with the world.
'The ME Movement'
We are building a social movement for those individuals in the community (business owners included) that feel a pull towards what it is I am trying to achieve, those that are looking for a group of like-minded individuals they can connect with and feel like they are apart of something bigger than themselves, and those that are simply excited by life.
The ME Movement is an environment to support and inspire, to feel supported and inspired, and simply embrace the fact that it is okay to put yourself first. It is your life after all.
Our wish is that your achieve all of this through discovering your own ‘purpose’ in life.
Once we have broken the world record and raised a gazzlion dollars for the McGrath Foundation we won't stop there!
Why just give those in need bras once? We will have done the hard work! We will have nurtured beautiful relationships. We will have set up distribution channels. So we might as well keep the party going.
Maybe not on a world record grand scale, but why shouldn't we keep donating unwanted bras to those that need them when we already have the facilities and project model in place? Makes perfect sense, RIGHT?!
The CHARITY BUSINESS SUPPORT Program
Today, life is tough. The increase in numbers of vulnerable groups for so many different reasons is on the up.
Thankfully, the number of people wanting to do something about it is also on the rise.
It is one thing to want to help though. And, yes there may be a solution. Obviously plenty of passion, but not everyone knows how to go about it the right way. And that's okay!
Through my experience, I have come to realise that to achieve great things you need to get the basics right.
You need a balance between love and money to achieve all you desire, and I believe to achieve this balance you need to treat your organisation like a business. You need to understand the numbers, be able to identify risks, and know how to plan for the long term, so you can sustain the support you receive from sponsors and donations.
While I am passionate about working with small businesses, I am even more so when it comes to working with those that are trying to make a difference.
